"The Springs'

On a mission to bring more teenagers to Country Music

It all started in the winter of 2006-2007, when the search for the most musically talented teenagers in the South, ages 13 to 18, began.  Teenage musicians from three Southern states; Alabama, Florida and Georgia, made their way to open auditions in hopes of being discovered, and being chosen for “The Springs” band.  Not known by the judges, three of the hand picked band members, from Enterprise High School (Alabama) had won the National FFA string band competition two years in a row.  The male singer of that group, Stewart, had won a Cincinnati “Star Search” competition when he was just 15.  Tragedy struck on March 1, 2007, when a major tornado destroyed their high school killing eight of their friends.  Two of the band members were in the building when the storm hit (Stewart and Brent), what a story!

“The Springs” were nominated this year for three ICM Awards; including Group of the Year, New Artist of the Year and Youth Artist of the Year.  On October 16th they won “2008 ICM Youth Artist of the Year” in Nashville, TN, and since then, have been nominated for “New Music Weekly’s” Country New Group of the Year, and the Agape Fest, New Young Horizon Group of the Year, and the Outstanding Group Achievement award for 2008.
